We are certified to FSSC 22000 Scheme Version 5.1, which is based on a combination of the ISO 22000:2018 Food Safety Management Systems standard, the specifications outlined in ISO/TS 22002-1, and additional FSSC requirements. Developed by the Foundation for Food Safety Certification and supported by the Confederation of Food and Drink Industries of the European Union (CIAA), FSSC 22000 has been approved by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), as well as other food safety schemes such as BRC and IFS.
We have a Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) Certificate, granted by the Nicaraguan Institute for the Protection of Agricultural Health (IPSA, Spanish acronym), for complying with the implementation requirements of our HACCP plan, Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
The FSIS-USDA Meat Inspection Service periodically conducts audits at our establishment to assess compliance with United States regulatory requirements and to subsequently authorize the trade of our meat products.
